RESOLUTION NO. 82-81
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT FOR SEWARD GENERAL HOSPITAL
HEATING SYSTEM MODIFICATIONS TO L. o. H. ELECTRIC, INC.
WHEREAS,
Hospital to
construction
Project; and
the City of Seward has an agreement with Seward General
assume all responsibilites relating to the planning and
of the project described as Seward-Marathon Hydro-Generation
WHEREAS, a portion of that project is modifications to the Seward
General Hospital Heating System consisting of installation of a boiler,
circulating pump, and water heater; and
WHEREAS, funds are available for the project within the budget for the
Seward-Marathon Hydo-Generation Project; and
WHEREAS, the equipment described above has been purchased by the City
of Seward for the hospital; and
and
WHEREAS, installation of the equipment was advertised for public bid;
WHEREAS, bids were submitted by two contractors and were opened and
publicly read on October 28, 1982; and
WHEREAS, L. O. H. Electric, Inc. is the apparent low bidder with a bid
of Nine Thousand Three Hundred and No/lOO Dollars ($9,300.00); and
WHEREAS, engineers employed by the City of Seward have reviewed the
bid documents submitted by the bidders and have recommended that the bid be
awarded to the apparent low bidder, L.O.H. Electric, Inc.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
SECTION 1. An award for the contract for installation of the
Seward General Hospital Heating System Modifications is hereby made to
L. O. H. Electric, Inc. for the amount of Nine Thousand Three Hundred and
NO/lOO Dollars ($9,300.00).
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized and instructed to enter
into a contract on behalf of the City of Seward with L.O.H. Electric, Inc.
in accordance with the bid documents.
