RESOLUTION NO. 84-126
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING ADDITIONAL FUNDS FOR THE
SEWARD MARINE INDUSTRIAL CENTER SHIPLIFT INSTALLATION
WHEREAS, the installation of the shiplift system is complete
at the Seward Marine Industrial Center; and
WHEREAS, additional work was performed by the contractor
during the course of the construction; and
WHEREAS, the additional work and materials were required to
place concrete at the shiplift site during the winter period November
1983 through February 1984 because the proj ect was delayed and the
concrete superstructure had to be placed to protect the pilings from
damage during winter storms; and
WHEREAS, insufficient funds remain in the shiplift special
project accounts to pay the contractor for the additional work;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer
$518,750 from Special Proj ect Account No. 258000 (MIC Claims Contin-
gency) to Special Projects Account No. 228000 (Shiplift II).

Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized
from the General Fund-Fund Balance Account No.
Special Project Account No. 262000 CShiplift I).

Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
