CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE 2000-19
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AMENDING THE LAND USE PLAN AND ZONING
DESIGNATION OF ALASKA STATE LAND SURVEY 72-35 FROM
RESOURCE MANAGEMENT TO SINGLE-FAMILY RESIDENTIAL
WHEREAS, Robert and Patricia Linville submitted an application and $250.00 filing fee,
requesting that the Land Use Plan and Zoning designation of Alaska State Land Survey 72-35 be
changed from Resource Management (RM) to Single-Family Residential (Rl);
WHEREAS, the owners are in the process ofreplatting ASLS 72-35, Lots 1-4, Block 1, Lot
1, Block 2, and the vacated portion of Mill Street, into one large parcel for a single family home; and
WHEREAS, Lots 1-4, Block 1, Lot 1, Block 2, and the vacated portion of Mill Street are
currently zoned Single Family residential (R1); and
WHEREAS, the owners were required to apply for the requested Land Use Plan and Zoning
amendment as a condition of the plat in order for the combined parcel to have one zoning
designation; and
WHEREAS, at its December 5, 2000 meeting, the Planning & Zoning Commission held a
public hearing and recommended the Land Use Plan and Zoning Map amendment included in this
ordinance.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OFTHE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. The Official City of Seward Land Use Plan Map is hereby amended by changing
the land use designation of Alaska State Land Survey 72-35 from Resource ~anagement to Single
Family Residential.
Section 2. The Official City of Seward Zoning Map is hereby amended by changing the
zoning designation of Alaska State Land Survey 72-35 from Resource Management to Single-Family
Residential.
Section 3. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days following its enactment.
