CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-138
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A 3-YEAR BANKING
SERVICES AGREEMENT, WITH TWO I-YEAR RENEWAL
OPTIONS, TO NATIONAL BANK OF ALASKA
WHEREAS, the City's banking services agreement with First National Bank of Anchorage
expires December 31,1995; and
WHEREAS, the City advertised a request for proposals to provide continuing banking
services in accordance with the bid procedures set forth in the City Code; and
WHEREAS, proposals were received from First National Bank of Anchorage and National
Bank of Alaska; and
WHEREAS, both proposals meet the basic criteria set forth in the bid documents; and
WHEREAS, the proposal submitted by National Bank of Alaska provided the lowest
compensating balance for basic services and provided the highest rate of return on the City's
overnight investments;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to award a three-year banking services
agreement, with two one-year renewal options, to National Bank of Alaska, effective January 2,
1996.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 27th
day of November, 1995.
