RESOLUTION NO. 84-7
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, REQUESTING THE APPOINTMENT OF DONALD W. CRIPPS
TO THE STATE JOB TRAINING COORDINATING COUNCIL
WHEREAS, a vacancy has occurred on the State Job Training
Coordinating Council; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward, home of the Alaska Vocational
Technical Center, is very much interested in fostering job training
programs here and throughout the state; and
WHEREAS, Donald W. Cripps, Mayor of the City of Seward, has
devoted his professional life to the education and training of adults in
the State of Alaska; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Cripps has served the City of Seward as an
elected member of the City Council for the past 5 years, the last 3 as
Mayor; and
WHEREAS, Mayor Cripps has expressed an interest in serving on
the State Job Training Coordinating Council;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Honorable Bill Sheffield, Governor of the
State of Alaska, is hereby requested to appoint Donald W. Cripps to the
vacant seat on the State Job Training Coordinating Council.
Section 2. Copies of this resolution shall be forwarded to
Governor Sheffield and Carol Derfner, Special Assistant to the Governor.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 13th day of February , 1984.
