RESOLUTION NO. 84-14
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING AN EXCHANGE OF CITY OWNED
LOT 4, JESSE LEE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION ADDITION NO.2, FOR
PRIVATELY OWNED LOTS 22-24, BLOCK 1; LOTS 1-7, BLOCK 8; AND
LOTS 1-7 AND 34-40, BLOCK 9, TERMINAL ADDITION
WHEREAS, the Seward City Council has previously found it to be
in the public interest to enter into negotiations to trade Lot 4, Jesse
Lee Heights Subdivision Addition No.2, for Lots 22-24, Block 1; Lots
1-7, Block 8; and Lots 1-7 and 34-40, BLock 9, Terminal Addition; and
WHEREAS, City Council has previously found it in the public
interest to negotiate this land trade without benefit of an appraisal;
and
WHEREAS, this exchange of property will put the City in the
position of sole ownership of the proposed Gateway Subdivision, which in
turn will give the City more flexibility in the development and disposal
of the land; and
WHEREAS, this exchange will put Lot 4, Jesse Lee Heights
Subdivision Addition No.2, on the tax rolls and in the ownership of a
party looking at developing additional much needed housing units in the
community;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is directed to
attached deed (Exhibit "A") transferring Lot 4, Jesse
Subdivision Addition No. 2 to Mr. Donald L. Snellman.

Section 2. The City Manager is further directed to accept a
deed from Mr. Donald L. Snellman for Lots 22-24, Block 1; Lots 1-7,
Block 8; and Lots 1-7 and 34-40, BLock 9, Terminal Addition (attached
Exhibit "B").
Section 3. Said deeds (Exhibits "A" and "B") shall be incor-
porated herein as a part of this resolution.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect thirty (30) days
after adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 12th day of March , 1984.

The Grantor, THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, a home rule municipality
organized and existing under the laws of the State of ALaska, for and
in consideration of the sum of ONE DOLLAR (S1.00) lawful money of the
United States of America, and other good and valuable considerations in
hand paid, receipt of which is hereby acknowledged, does hereby convey
and quitclaim unto the Grantee, DONALD L. SNELLMAN, a single man whose
address is 500 First Avenue South, Seattle, Hashington, 98lC14, the
following described real property, situated in the Sewarrl P..ecording
District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska, to wit:

Lot 4, JESSE LEE HEIGHTS SUBDIVISION ADDITION NO.2,
according to the PLAT thereof, filed as PLAT NO.
83-32, on December 1, 1983, in the Seward Recording
District, Third Judicial District, State of Alaska.
TOGETHER WITH, ALL AND SINGULAR, the tenements, hereditaments, and
appurtenances thereunto belonging or anywise appertaining, and subiect
to the rights and reservations expressed in patent to said land, exist-
ing easements for roads, power, lights and other utilities and restric-
tions of record, and to encroachments ascertainable by physical inspec-
tion of the property.
TO HAVE AND TO HOLD the premises, all and singular, together with
the appurtenances and privileges thereto incident unto said Grantee and
to his heirs, executors, administrators and assigns, FOREVER.

The Grantor, DONALD L. SNELLMAN, of Seattle, Hashington, for and in
consideration of the sum of TEN DOLLARS ($10.00) lawful T'loney of the
United States of America, and other good and valuable consideration in
hand paid, conveys and warrants to the CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, a home
rule municipality whose address is PO Box 167, Seward, ALaska, 99664,
and to its successors and assigns forever, the following described real
property:
Lots 22, 23, and 24, Block 1; Lots 1 through 7
inclusive, Block 8; and Lots 1 through 7 and 34
through 40 inclusive, Block 9, TERMINAL ADDITION,
City of Seward, according to PLAT NO. 6 on file in
the Seward Recording District, Third Judicial
District, State of ALaska.
