CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-143
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A PERMIT FOR THE
DISCHARGE OF FIREWORKS ON DECEMBER 31, 1995, BY
THE SEWARD CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
WHEREAS, the Seward Chamber of Commerce has requested authorization for its annual
New Year's Eve fireworks display; and
WHEREAS, the Chamber has coordinated the planned display with the Seward Fire
Department and has received the Fire Chiefs approval ofthe plan; and
WHEREAS, Seward City Code Section 10.10.040 requires City Council approval prior to
any such fireworks display;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Seward Chamber of Commerce is hereby authorized to proceed with a
fireworks display on the evening of December 3l, 1995, in accordance with any rules, regulations
or other restrictions which might be imposed by the Fire Chief of the City of Seward.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 11 th
day of December, 1995.
