CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 84-19
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A DIGGER
TRUCK FOR THE ELECTRIC DEPARTMENT WITHOUT UTILIZATION OF
THE BID PROCEDURES SET FORTH IN SECTION 10-8 OF THE CITY CODE
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has received two proposals for
line equipment; and
WHEREAS, the equipment is available on a first come-first
serve basis; and
WHEREAS, the equipment will be readily available for utili-
zation; and
WHEREAS, the Electric Department would be seriously hampered
if its current truck were to break down and readily available equipment
is desirable for the safety and convenience of reliable service to its
customers; and
WHEREAS, the Electric Utility budget passed by the City
Council included $70,000 for the purchase of a new truck;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
