RESOLUTION NO. 95-145
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING A TEMPORARY PAY
INCREASE FOR DEPUTY CITY MANAGER YANEZ DURING
HIS TENURE AS INTERIM HOSPITAL ADMINISTRATOR
WHEREAS, on November 27, 1995, the City Council enacted Ordinance No. 95-18,
abolishing the Community Hospital Board; and
WHEREAS, Deputy City Manager Mike Yanez has been appointed Interim Hospital
Administrator; and
WHEREAS, in light of his additional duties, it is the desire of the Council to increase his
pay accordingly to compensate him for extra hours and responsibilities attendant with his temporary
assignment; and
WHEREAS, the approved pay increase will terminate once another administrator is
appointed and Yanez is able to return to his regular duties;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Deputy City ManagerlInterim Hospital Administrator position is hereby
temporarily reclassified to a Range 29, Step H, until such time as the Deputy City Manager ceases
to perform the duties of Interim Hospital Administrator and returns to his regular city duties.
Section 2. This temporary pay increase is retroactive to November 28, 1995, when Yanez
began his service as Interim Hospital Administrator.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
