CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 84-31
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AWARDING A CONTRACT TO AIR-TECH, INC.,
FOR INSTALLATION OF AN EMERGENCY GENERATOR AND APPROPRIATING
FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL FUND-FUND BALANCE TO THE SEWARD FIRE
DEPARTMENT CAPITAL EQUIPMENT ACCOUNT
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 83-90,
appropriating $20,000 to the Seward Fire Department Capital Equipment
Account for the purposes of installing a Kato generator (150 kw) and
automatic transfer switch as part of the Civil Defense Program; and
WHEREAS, the bids for installing the generator and switch gear
were opened on April 5, 1984, with the low bid being submitted by
Air-Tech, Inc., for a bid amount of $22,509; and
WHEREAS, the funds previously appropriated will not be suffi-
cient to cover the cost of the generator and switch gear installation
and approximately $16,000 in additional funds will be needed to complete
the project;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of Sixteen Thousand and No/100ths Dollars
($16,000) is hereby appropriated from the General Fund-Fund Balance
Account No. 101-000-271-00-00 to the Seward Fire Department Capital
Equipment Account No. 101-122-572-10-93.
