CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 95-151
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, ACCEPTING BIDS FOR THE PURCHASE
OF LOTS 2 AND 5, BLOCK 7, OCEANVIEW SUBDIVISION
WHEREAS, on October 9, 1995, the City Council, following a duly advertised public
hearing as required by law, approved Resolution No. 95-122, authorizing the sale of Lots 2 and 5,
Block 7, Oceanview Subdivision, by sealed bid; and
WHEREAS, an invitation to bid was publicly noticed in accordance with the provisions of
the City Code and were mailed to adjacent property owners as required; and
WHEREAS, the City received two bids for Lot 2 (Parcel No.1) and one bid for Lot 5
(Parcel No.2); and
WHEREAS, Kenai Fjords Tours, Ltd., submitted the high bid for Parcel No.1 and lD.B.
Properties submitted the high bid for Parcel No.2;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The bid of $27,100 as submitted by Kenai Fjords Tours, Ltd., for the purchase
of Lot 2, Block 7, Oceanview Subdivision, is hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized
and directed to take all steps and execute all instruments to complete and close the sale of the
property to the purchaser.
Section 2. The bid of $4,000 as submitted by I.D.B. Properties for the purchase of Lot 5,
Block 7, Oceanview Subdivision, is hereby accepted and the City Manager is authorized and directed
to take all steps and execute all instruments to complete and close the sale of the property to the
purchaser.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect thirty days after passage and posting as required
by law.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 11th
day of December, 1995.
