RESOLUTION NO, 83-33
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORI ZING THE PURCHASE OF A 8 YARD SANDER BOX
UTILIZING THE STATE PROCUREMENT BID WITH SOUTHPARK INDUSTRIES
WHEREAS, the City of Seward existing sander box is over
twenty years old and is in continual need of maintenance and repair
and;
WHEREAS, the City of Seward can obtain greater efficiencies
in labor and equipment by using a larger sander box; and

preparing its last shipment during the week of June 13, 1983; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward can achieve substantial savings
by utilizing the State procurement bid;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
RESOLVED
BY
THE
CITY
COUNCIL
OF
Section I: In accordance with Section 10-8 (g) of the
Seward City Code, the City Council finds that it is in the public
interest to waive the bidding procedures as outlined in Section
IO,8 of the Code for the purchase of a 8 yard sander box for the
Public Works Department,
Section 2. The City Administration is hereby authorized
to purchase a 8 yard sander box through the State of Alaska from
Southpark Industries, in an amount not to exceed $10,500,OO,
Section 3,
upon its adoption,
This resolution shall take effect immediately
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this 13th day of June ,1983,
