RESOLUTION NO. 84-69
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE RATES FOR SEWER USE
WHEREAS, Section 22.10.050 of the Seward City Code requires
sewer rates and charges shall be fixed by resolution; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward established rates for sewer use by
adopting Resolution No. 83-66; and
WHEREAS, an October 1983, Cost of Service and Rate Study
recommended an 130% sewer rate increase over a three year period; and
WHEREAS, the Seward City Council implemented the first phase
of the recommended rate increase in 1983 and desires to amend the
schedule of rates effective July 15, 1984, to effect the second phase of
the recommended rate increase;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:

Section 1. The schedule of rates for sewer use shall be
amended as follows:
A. Sewer Connection Inspection Fee:

Any user not listed above shall be billed at a fair
and equitable rate, based on a unit rate of $24.00
per month established for an average monthly flow of
10,000 gallons with BOD and SS loading of 250 mg/l.
Section 2. Resolution No. 83-66 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. The rates set forth in this resolution shall
become effective July 15, 1984.
