CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 84-89
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT FOR
PROFESSIONAL SERVICES WITH RICHARD L. SALIK
AND APPROPRIATING THE NECESSARY FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City Council has requested
classification and pay plan survey and update
employees be conducted; and
that a professional
covering all City
WHEREAS, Richard L. Salik of Salik Associates has met with the
Council and has presented his proposal for conducting such a study for
the City; and
WHEREAS, the bid procedures outlined in Section 10-8 of the
City Code do not apply to Contracts for Professional Services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to enter
into a Contract for Professional Services with Richard L. Salik for the
purpose of updating and revising the City's classification and pay plan.
Section 2. This Contract shall not exceed $13,300.
Section 3. The City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer
$13,300 from the General Fund-Fund Balance Account No. 101-000-271-00-00
to the Mayor and Council Contracted Services Account No.
101-111-511-10-39.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
