CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 83-37
A RESOLUTION APPROPRIATING SALES TAX RECEIPTS
TO SEWARD GENERAL HOSPITAL
WHEREAS, the Seward City Council enacted Ordinance No. 507 on March 8,
1982, adopting a one percent sales tax; and
WHEREAS, a referendum vote on Ordinance No. 507 was held on April 20,
1982; and
WHEREAS, Ordinance No. 507 was approved by majority of the qualified
voters voting on the question; and
WHEREAS, revenues from the sales tax are now available as a part of the
City's general revenues to assist Seward General Hospital; and
WHEREAS, the Administrator of Seward General Hospital has requested that
the Seward City Council grant to the Hospital the balances reflected in the
sales tax fund; and
WHEREAS, this grant will be used to defray operational deficits accumu-
lated in FY 1983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of $30,588 is hereby appropriated from the Sales Tax
Revenue Account No. 101-000-318-10-00 to the General Government Service Account
No. 101-118-518-35-61 for the purpose of assisting Seward General Hospital.
Section 2, This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
this 27 day of June , 1983.
