RESOLUTION NO. 95-156
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR
TOWING AND IMPOUND SERVICES
WHEREAS, the city properly advertised a request for proposals to provide towing and
impound services for the city police department; and
WHEREAS, three proposals were received in response to the RFP; and
WHEREAS, the administration has determined that the proposal submitted by Mike's
Towing is the more cost effective and will meet the needs of the Seward Police Department; and
WHEREAS, the proposal includes provisions for a vehicle storage and impound lot within
the city limits on Lot4, Block 14, Federal Addition located in the Auto Commercial Zone; and
WHEREAS, the property owner will be required to obtain a Conditional Use Permit for
operation of an impound and storage facility in the Auto Commercial Zone before beginning
operation and storage;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. A vehicle towing and storage agreement between the City and Mike's Towing
is approved subject to receipt of a Conditional Use Permit for operation and storage of a vehicle
impound lot subject to proper land use..
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the city of Seward, Alaska, this 11 th
day of December, 1995.
