RESOLUTION NO. 83-59
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE FY 84 BUDGET FOR THE
CITY OF SEWARD TO ACCOMMODATE ACCEPTANCE OF A MATCHING
FUND GRANT AWARD UNDER THE FEDERAL RCFP PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has been awarded $4,467.00 in
matching funds under the 1983 Federal Rural Community Fire Prevention
Program (RCFP); and
WHEREAS, the FY 84 Budget for the City of Seward must be
amended to accommodate receipt of these funds; and
WHEREAS, the budget must be further amended to allocate these
funds to the Fire Department for the purchase of fire prevention equip-
ment; and
WHEREAS, the City must show proof of purchase of said equip-
ment to the Department of Natural Resources prior to September 15, 1983;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to accept
matching funds under the Federal RCFP Program in the amount of
$4,467.00.
Section 2. The FY 84 Budget for the City of Seward is hereby
amended by increasing both the General Fund Revenue Account No. 101-000-
342-16-00 and the Fire Department Expense Account No. 101-122-527-10-93
by $4,467.00 each.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.

ALASKA, this 22 day of August , 1983.
