CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 83-60
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FROM THE GENERAL
FUND-FUND BALANCE TO THE GATEWAY SUBDIVISION
ACCOUNT 225
WHEREAS, there are funds available in the General Fund-Fund
Balance as the result of unspent money in previous fiscal years; and
WHEREAS, the City Council did direct the City Manager to enter
into contracts with various engineering and construction firms to
design, survey and clear rights of way for the Gateway Subdivision
(formerly Terminal Addition); and
WHEREAS, over the past three years a total of THREE HUNDRED
TWENTY THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED TWENTY-NINE AND 67/100THS DOLLARS ($320,-
429.67) has been expended in the development of this project; and
WHEREAS, to date only ONE HUNDRED EIGHTY SIX THOUSAND AND
TWENTY-ONE DOLLARS ($186,021.00) has actually been appropriated to this
project; and
WHEREAS, in order to complete the project, an estimated
additional TWENTY-FOUR THOUSAND DOLLARS ($24,000.00) will be needed to
complete a land purchase, land exchange and final platting; and
WHEREAS, when the Gateway Subdivision property is sold, these
funds will be returned to the City treasury;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The sum of ONE HUNDRED FIFTY-EIGHT THOUSAND FOUR
HUNDRED TEN DOLLARS ($158,410.00) is hereby appropriated from the
General Fund-Fund Balance Account No. 101-000-271-00-00 to the Gateway
Subdivision Project Account 225.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.

ALASKA, this 22 day of August , 1983.
