RESOLUTION NO. 83-63
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR THE
CONSTRUCTION OF A SECOND PICNIC PAVILION
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has approximately $20,000 in
unencumbered Seventh Avenue Greenbelt project funds; and
WHEREAS, a site has been located adj acent to the Seventh
Avenue Greenbelt ball fields for a second larger picnic pavilion; and
WHEREAS, a second picnic pavilion can be constructed for an
estimated $65,000;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The construction of a hexagonal 44-foot twin
picnic pavilion adj acent to the Seventh Avenue ball fields is hereby
authorized.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to transfer
$45,000 from the General Fund Account No. 101-000-271-00-00 to the
Seventh Avenue Greenbelt project account No. 204-000-368-03-00 for the
purpose of constructing the picnic pavilion.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 12th day of September , 1983.
