RESOLUTION NO. 81-66
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE RATES FOR SEWER USE
WHEREAS, the City of Seward established rates for sewer use by
adopting Resolution No. 82-74; and
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend the schedule of
rates to provide greater equity in the rates charged;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1.

The schedule of rates for sewer use shall be
A. Sewer Connection Inspection Fee:
1.
All Classes of Users
$150 (per service
connection)
B.
Residential or Domestic Service Within the City Limits:
1. Single Residence $ 18.00/month
2. Duplex in one building 36.00/month
3. Apartment with individual
billing (per unit) 18.00/month
4. Apartment on one billing
(per unit whether occupied
or not) 14.63/month
5. Nursing Home (per bed) 14.63/month
C. Commercial Service Within the City Limits:
1.
Commercial Group A
$ 21. 38/month
a. Stores (no more than 3 bathrooms)
b. Office Building (Six offices for less and
not more than 3,000 square feet
c. Service Stations without repair facilities
d. Doctor or Dentist office
e. Warehouse (no more than 3 bathrooms)
f. Churches
g. Theaters
h. Undertakers

Commercial Group B
a. Motels and Hotels (10 units or less)

d. Office Buildings (13-20 offices)
e. Hospitals (12 beds or less)
f. Car Wash (4 stalls or less)

Special
Any user not listed above shall be billed at a fair
and equitable rate, based on a unit rate of $18.00
per month established for an average monthly flow of
10,000 gallons with BOD and SS loading of 250 mg/1.
Section 2. Resolution No. 82-74 is hereby repealed.
Section 3. The rates set forth in this resolution shall
become effective September 15, 1983.
