RESOLUTION NO. u- 'UL
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE FY 84 BUDGET
TO PROVIDE A $1200 GRANT TO THE PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICES IN SEWARD
WHEREAS, the Public Health nurse of Seward has requested a
grant of $1200 to the Public Health service in Seward; and
WHEREAS, the Public Health nurse provides services to the
public free of charge including giving immunizations, vision and hearing
tests, patient and public health education on various subjects, coordi-
nating mass screening and health education at community events such as
the Heal Fair and Pre-school roundup; and
WHEREAS, funding for this additional grant was not included in
the Fiscal Year 1984 budget as it had been in the past ten years by the
City of Seward;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The FY 84 budget for the City of Seward is hereby
amended by appropriating $1200 from the General Fund-Fund Balance
Account No. 101-000-271-00-00 to the General Fund Account No. 101-118-
518-40-61.
Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized to disburse
$1200 from the General Fund Account No. 101-118-518-40-61 to the Public
Health nurse in the form of a grant from the City of Seward.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, this 10th day of October , 1983.
