RESOLUTION NO. 83-81
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AUTHORIZING A REQUEST TO ASSUME THE
RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE DEVELOPMENT OF A MASTER PLAN FOR
THE SEWARD AIRPORT
WHEREAS, the State of Alaska is seeking a Master Plan for the
Seward Airport, including inventory, forecasts, alternative land uses
and recommendations for near term and long term development; and
WHEREAS, the Kenai Peninsula Transportation Study recommended
the development of a Master Plan for the Seward Airport; and
WHEREAS,

THE City of Seward wishes to be involved int he
expanded Seward Airport under provisions of AS. 35.-
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is hereby authorized to apply to
the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities (herein-
after referred to as the "Department") on behalf of the City of Seward
for Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000) which was appropriated to the
Department in Chapter 82, SLA 81, Page 170, Line 17, Chapter 120, SLA
80, Page 191, Line 14 for the development of a Seward Airport Master
Plan.
Section 2. The City Manager is further authorized to act on
behalf of the City of Seward to enter into an Agreement with the De-
partment to transfer the responsibility for the accomplishment of the
project from the Department to the City of Seward.
Section 3. The City Manager is also authorized to execute any
subsequent amendments to said Agreement based on the needs of the
proj ect.
Section 4. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon
its adoption.
