CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
ORDINANCE 2005-02
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA,
AMENDING SEWARD CITY CODE 15.10.410, APPEALS-GENERALLY
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to clarify the language and procedures used in the
appeals process for the Seward Zoning Code; and
WHEREAS, the appeals language will be clarified by stating the applicability of all
appellate actions, including interpretation and enforcement; and
WHEREAS, it is in the public interest to maintain a city code that reflects community
needs and clarifies procedures; and
WHEREAS, at its December 7, 2004 meeting, the Planning and Zoning Commission
held a public hearing and recommended City Council approval of the proposed amendment.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OF SEWARD ORDAINS that:

Section 1.
Seward City Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
15.10.410 Aooeals is hereby amended as follows (Strikethroughs = deletions and are
bold, additions are in bold italics):
A. Purpose. This article governs all appellate actions and determinations, including
interpretation and enforcement, taken under the Seward Zoning Code."
Section 2. This ordinance shall take effect ten (10) days following enactment.
