RESOLUTION 2006-133
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE CITY COUNCIL RULES
OF PROCEDURE TO AMEND RULE 26, ORDER OF BUSINESS
WHEREAS, SCC Section 2.10.055, Agenda, states that the order of business for
the regular meetings of the City Council shall be set by resolution of the council and
incorporated into the Council's adopted Rules of Procedure; and
WHEREAS, during discussion at the October 23,2006 City Council meeting the
Council approved a motion to change the order of business items on the agenda; and
WHEREAS, the Council wishes to amend Rule 26(a)(4-6) of the City Council
Rules of Procedure to generally appear as follows (strike out = deletions, bold italics =
additions):

Agenda Item: Amend Rule 26 of City Council Rules of
Procedures
BACKGROUND & JUSTIFICATION:
During a discussion on the October 23, 2006 council meeting, council expressed their intent to
change the order of business on the agenda and by city code, “the order of business for the regular
meetings of the City Council shall be set by resolution of the council and incorporated into the
Council's adopted Rules of Procedure.” (SCC 2.10.55)
Council made motion and voted unanimously to change items 4, 5, and 6 from the following:
