RESOLUTION NO. 2002-06
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, PORT AND
COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD, RECOGNIZING PATRICK REILLY
FOR OUTSTANDING PERFORMANCE AS THE CLERK FOR THE CITY
OF SEWARD.
WHEREAS, Patrick Reilly has worked as City Clerk since August 27, 1997; and,
WHEREAS, Reilly attained his status as a Certified Municipal Clerk through receiving his
Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from the University of Alaska, Anchorage and Juris
Doctorate from Albany Law School of Union University, Albany, New York; and
WHEREAS, Reilly is the only attorney in the State of Alaska that has received designation
as a Certified Municipal Clerk; and,
WHEREAS, Reilly has been a faithful public servant working many long hours including
nights and weekends; and,
WHEREAS, Reilly's expertise is respected by the Seward City Council, Planning and
Zoning Commission, Historic Preservation Commission, Port and Commerce Advisory Board, City
Employees, and public citizens; and,
WHEREAS, Reilly will be missed when he leaves to take other employment as a North
Slope Borough Assistant Attorney.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND RECOMMENDED BY THE PORT
AND COMMERCE ADVISORY BOARD OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The Port and Commerce Advisory Board recognizes the outstandingjob Patrick
Reilly performed as Seward's City Clerk.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City of Seward, Alaska, Port and Commerce Advisory
Board this 1 st day of May 2002.
