RESOLUTION 2005-33
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, APPROVING AN EMPLOYMENT
AGREEMENT WITH CLARK CORBRIDGE FOR CITY MANAGER
SERVICES
WHEREAS, former City Manager Phil Shealy resigned effective March 1, 2005; and
WHEREAS, Clark Corbridge was interviewed on February 16, 2005 and hired as
interim city manager on February 28, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the Council has advertised and conducted public meetings for a
replacement; and
WHEREAS, the Council had a work session reviewing city manager candidates on April
25, 2005; and
WHEREAS, the Council voted unanimously to offer the position to Clark Corbridge
and negotiate a contract at their April 28, 2005 regular city council meeting; and

WHEREAS, Council appointed a committee of two to negotiate a contract; and
WHEREAS, negotiations have been completed and Clark Corbridge has accepted the
City's offer of employment beginning immediately for a monthly salary of $7,500.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The employment agreement between the City of Seward and Clark
Corbridge, attached and incorporated herein by reference, to provide city manager services to
the City for a three-year period beginning immediately, is hereby APPROVED.
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this
23rd day of May 2005.
