AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL <IF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, AMENDING THE SE ARD LAND USE
PLAN AND ZONING FOR LOTS 1-16, BLO K 8, ORIGINAL
TOWNSITE OF SEWARD, TO CENTRAL SINESS DISTRICT
WHEREAS, property owners ofthe above listed arcels have initiated a land use plan and
zoning change for the above titled properties to Centra Llsiness District; and
WHEREAS, the present zoning of the subjec property is Auto-Commercial and the existing
land use plan designation is Urban Residential; an
WHEREAS, land use plan and zoning anges may be initiated by petition of a majority of
the property owners of the area to be amende : and
WHEREAS, the existing Central usiness District is contiguous to the subject area; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Zoning Commission approved Resolution No. 96-12
recommending the land use plan and oning amendments included in this ordinance;
NOW, THEREFORE, T CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
HEREBY ORDAINS that:
Section 1. The sewa/Land Use Plan is hereby amended as follows:
The Land ~ Plan designation for Lots I-I (). Block 8, Original Townsite of
Seward, is Chan,r from Urban Residential (UR) tll Central Business District (CBD).
Section 2. Tqe Seward Zoning Map is hereby amended as follows:

Tht?'zoning designation for Lots 1-16, Block X, Original Townsite of Seward,
is changed from Auto-Commercial (AC) to Central Business District (CBD).

Sectir' 3. This ordinance shall take effect ten ( 1 ()) days following its enactment.
