RESOLUTION N0.2007-114
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO APPROVE A
CHANGE ORDER FOR THE CONTRACT WITH STERCHI
CONSTRUCTION CO. FOR CONSTRUCTION OF THE SOUTH HARBOR
RESTROOM BUILDING FOR AN AMOUNT OF $7,821.38
WHEREAS, In January 2007 the City Council approved a contract with Sterchi Construction
Co. for construction of the South Harbor Restroom Building for an amount not-to-exceed
$208,513.00; and
WHEREAS, the construction was completed; and
WHEREAS, as the construction progressed, Sterchi insulated the stem walls, made changes
to the roof, and relocated the electric panel; and
WHEREAS, these changes were recommended by Tryck Nyman Hayes and the
administration.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1. The City Manager is authorized to approve a change order to the contract with
Sterchi Construction Co. for work already completed for an amount of $7,821.38.
Section 2. Funding for this work is appropriated from the Small Boat Harbor Repair and
Renovation Capital Project, and remaining Small Boat Harbor project funds.
Section 3. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 22°d
day of October, 2007.
