RESOLUTION 2003-119
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SEWARD,
ALASKA, AMENDING WHAT IS NOW PAGE 25 SECTION VI UNDER THE
HEADING "DUE PROCESS CHECKLIST-LICENSES AND PERMITS" OF
THE CITY COUNCIL RULES OF PROCEDURES TO DELETE GENDER
SPECIFIC WORDING
WHEREAS, this resolution updates page 25, of the City Council Rules of Procedures to
eliminate gender specific wording; and
WHEREAS, the Clerk's offices wishes to amend page 25, # 3 under the heading Due
Process Checklist - Licenses and Permits of the City Council Rules of Procedures to appear as
follows (strike out - deletions, bold italics = additions):
3, Has the applicant for a license or permit been given reasonable information as to the
items which he-they must submit to the agency prior to issuance?
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF SEWARD, ALASKA that:
Section 1. The City Clerk's office amends page 25, #3 under the heading Due Process
Checklist- Licenses and Permits ofthe City Council Rules of Procedures to read as follows:
3. Has the applicant for a license or permit been given reasonable information as to the
items which they must submit to the agency prior to issuance?
Section 2. This resolution shall take effect immediately upon its adoption.
PASSED AND APPROVED by the City Council of the City of Seward, Alaska, this 24th day of
November 2003.

BACKGROUND & JUSTIFICATION:
The City Clerks office has reviewed the City Council Rules of Procedures and found a

number of housecleaning changes that need to be made in order to update and keep

consistent language between the Council Rules of Procedures and the Seward City Code.
Resolutions 2003-116 through 2003-127 reflect these changes.
