CALL TO ORDER
The January 6,2016 regular meeting of the Port and Commerce Advisory Board was called to
order at 12:00 p.m. by Chair Darryl Schaefermeyer.
OPENING CEREMONY
Terry led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
ROLL CALL
There were present:
Darryl Schaefermeyer presiding, and
Bob Linville Brooke Andrews
Christy Terry Carl Hughes
Excused—Jaffa, Daniel Oliver
Comprising a quorum of the Council; and

Ron Long,Assistant City Manager
Norm Regis, Harbor Master

Alaska Railroad Report—Report was given electronically
Chamber of Commerce Report—Report was given electronically.
Harbormaster Report—Report was given electronically. Barge will be arriving around January
10`x'. Regis stated that tenant moorage renewal is currently at 99%.
Administration Report—Long gave a general update concerning SMIC Change order and snow
removal plan.

NEW BUSINESS
Motion (Hughes/Linville) Review and discuss increase of wharfage
rates (Sections 285& 290 of Harbor Tariff
General Discussion given- Regis explained how the rates have progressed throughout the years
Combine items scrap iron,plastic,pole logs, and salt under NOS. Have all increased be raised
by CPI.
Have admin present a resolution to board
for review with all changes.To be reviewed
by board at 02/03/2016 meeting.

Terry asked that the City's Comprehensive plan be added so that the Board can start reviewing it.
