Kari comes to us most recently from Homer— and I believe she has an announcement for us © We also welcome new Chamber Board Director: Shelly Shank, Assistant GM at the Breeze Inn. And we say thank you to outgoing director Allen King for his many years of volunteerism! This is the third year that the Chamber has invested in my education by sending me to Winter Institute — a training specifically for Chamber & Association Execs. It's great to start the new year out in Tucson, AZ - For lots of reasons! Our classes covered everything from "Financial Fitness" to "Innovate or Die" — remaining relevant in these rapidly changing times I've pretty much gotten the Budget lined out for this year— if you have any questions be sure to let me know. A couple things I wanted to point out — (highlighted yellow line items on budget) The work that the Chamber Board of Directors did with Dennis McMillian of Foraker last Wednesday reinforces this budget. (go through strategic plan) The SEGP Alternative Energy Group has already begun planning for the second annual Energy Fair. We hope to again partner with AVTEC and the City of Seward. ) ; * , Scsk N. The SMIC group is working on some questions to be included in the BR&E interviews that the Seward Chamber will be doing later this spring. The State of Alaska purchased Executive Pulse - BR&E software. Training will be provided for interviewers through UACED — and I'll keep you posted on that. Our 2015 guides are here.
