(Stephanie) (Cindy Clark) (John Moline) Matt Hubbard) Brings us to 415 members! Elizabeth Hashem joined the chamber team on September loth as the new Events Coordinator. Most recently Elizabeth worked at the KFNP and Rez Art Coffee House. We feel very fortunate to have this very talented and capable person working with us. Elizabeth will accompany Jen Leahy to Fairbanks to represent us at the Alaska Tourism Industry Association fall conference Oct 8 - 11 .g- 11,500 Visitors so far this year through the visitor center doors. We are seeing more and more folks utilizing web -based visitor resources (like seward.com and our FB page Alaska Starts Here!). Our guide mail out list is healthy, so our visitors are getting print information in advance. The challenge continues to be encouraging cruise ship passengers to research Seward on their own before they set sail. ;k= The SBN has resumed meetings and plan to have a couple Second Saturday events this fall -transitioning into "Winter Weekends" Dec through March/April). The group meets on the first and third Thursdays at the Breeze Inn. Check out the SBN group or page on FB. Twinklefest! The Blue Pipeline Open House was held Saturday night, great presentation, totally awesome support group and the application deadline has been extended till Sept 30th. KPBSD Superintendent Sean Dusek will be our guest speaker on Oct 12th - We're ready for the Harbormasters - and have learned that Governor Walker will be here on Oct 11th with a Town Hall Meeting at the Community Library from 4:30 - 5:30 pm. lcfOur Public Restrooms will close for the season this Friday. What an incredible season it's been!
