Implementation of Evidence-Based Icelandic Model: PROJECT
SELF-DISCOVERY
Are you interested in helping to make Seward the best place to be a kid? Come join us for our
Kick-Off meeting and learn about the evidence-based Icelandic Model that successfully
decreased their teen drinking rates from 40%to 5% in under 10 years. Through youth
engagement programs,family support, and community collaboration, Iceland went from the
highest rates of teen substance use in Europe,to the lowest. It is our goal to bring this model
to Seward and we need your help to make this a reality. Please join us, Tuesday, November
27th from 6pm-8pm at the Community Library.
