During the interview process, I have discussed the candidates with some of you. Both the finalists you
have selected have presented excellent backgrounds. After careful thought I now made a personal
choice on a candidate for City Manager.
The benefit that Seward can gain from an experienced Alaskan, with real coastal experience in harbors,
fishing, transportation, utilities and more cannot be minimized. Selecting a strong, well-disciplined
candidate who can bring a new perspective to Seward City management presents an opportunity we
should seize. I believe one candidate has these qualities,therefore I support Erin Reinders.
