My comments tonight are directed at Item 8b on your agenda — resolution 2019-076 Thank you for having a reconsideration process. We also appreciate your time and collaboration on this topic. I have had discussions with council members this past week and a suggestion was made to change section 2 to say, "Both parties agree to abide by the co-applicant agreement" SCHC is in favor of this change, as it would simplify our agreement with the City by having the agreement all in one place. Currently the co-applicant agreement is being revised to comply with HRSA regulations. The City and SCHC have received the first draft from our mutual consultant and Scott and I will meet this week to complete our step of this process. One of the items that we are discussing, in the co-applicant agreement is the ex-officio seats on SCHC board. At our last board meeting 8/29/19 the SCHC board agreed to propose that SCHC have four ex-officio seats, City Manager, City council healthcare liaison, Hospital Administrator and Seaview Executive Director. This is being proposed to improve transparency and collaboration. Because we are our community's health center, our board meetings are public, and we provide time for audience comments in our agenda. If other organizations and community members have suggestions about how to improve healthcare services in our community, fix gaps in community services that need attention or how we work with our community, you can let me know and/or bring it up at our board meeting. Our board meeting schedule and locations are posted on our website. Sewardcommunityhealthcenter.org
