CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA
RESOLUTION NO. 81-4
A RESOLUTION REQUESTING THE STATE OF ALASKA
DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND PUBLIC FACILITIES
TO TRANSFER $4,5 MILLION IN
BONDS FOR THE SEWARD PORT FACILITY
WHEREAS, the voters of Alaska in November 1980 approved
general obligation bonds which included $4,500,000 to be used in
the development of a port facility within the Seward Marine
Industrial Park at Fourth of July Creek; and
WHEREAS, Senate Bill No, 13 would make special appro-
priations for the projects for which general obligation bonds were
approved by the voters at the 1980 general election; and
WHEREAS, the prospects of Senate Bill No, 13 being
enacted in the near future are good; and
WHEREAS, the City of Seward has need of these funds for
the 1981 construction season,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF SEWARD, ALASKA, that:
Section 1, The State of Alaska Department of Transporta-
tion and Public Facilities is hereby requested to prepare the
necessary agreement to transfer these funds to the City of Seward,
Section 2. This resolution shall become effective
immediately upon passage and adoption,
PASSED AND APPROVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, this 9th day of March, 1981.
