The Electric department, Street department, Harbor department, Parks & Recreation department, and the Water department all have vehicles that will be needing a machine that can handle the larger rims. Shop personnel solicited quotes from three companies. Six Robblees, Inc., Pacific Equipment, and Alaska Automotive Equipment, Inc. The lowest quote, $8,995.00, for a Hofmann 3850 Tire Machine with Alaska Automotive Equipment, Inc. was chosen as the best deal for the City. Public Works is requesting that the funding for this item come out of the General Fund Fund Balance, and transferred to the Shop Equipment Line Item. CONSISTENCY CHECKLIST: Yes No 1.
