Brenda I got your message about not distributing to Council ahead of time, but please add this when you print out my
email for Friday.
In addition to the savings in the general fund outlined below,just looking at the Electric Fund if we hold the line items to
the 2017 actuals - it will save over $33,000 in each year. WOW! That is a lot of infrastructure.

it isn't a surprise-
So Iwas thinking about how to balance the budget and on Friday I am going to suggest rolling back ALL Travel/Subsistence
(7302) and Education and Training (7303)to 2017 actual levels - saving $91,855 in the General Fund alone. But do so
for enterprise funds also to see savings in all of their budgets.
Within this item, I would restrict out of state travel to Council Approval only and also restrict employees getting college
degrees i.e. taking college classes without Council approval.
Brenda- if possible could you send these comments out to all of Council so it isn't a surprise to them either.
