CALL TO ORDER
The April 11,2019 regular meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission was called to
order at 7:31 p.m.by Chair Wolfgang Kurtz.
OPENING CEREMONY
Cheryl Seese led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag.

Discuss the Seward Historic Preservation information on the website.
The commission directed Maxwell to work with Kingsland and the City's I.T.team on migrating the
content of the Historic Preservation website to the new city website.
Plan for Hoben Park beautification.
Seese said she had taken on this project and would be getting a project description and cost to
Flaherty. Darling suggested getting the Hoben Park on the Parks&Recreation's watering plan.
Discuss potential CLG Grant opportunities.
Kurtz said the commission would be applying for a Certified Local Government(CLG)Grant
in May that would focus on the walking tours and the signage. A resolution would be brought
forward at the next HP meeting to have passed on to council for approval.
Discuss and decide on Historic Preservation award.
The commission nominated Linda Lasota,Willard Dunham,Resurrect Arts,and Cliff Krug&Linda
Chichester of Brown&Hawkins Mercantile for the 2019 Historic Preservation Award.

COMMISSIONERS' COMMENTS
Maxwell welcomed Ward.
Darling welcomed Ward and said she appreciated all of the commissioners.
Ward said she was pleased to be on the commission.
Kurtz welcomed Ward and thanked her for volunteering to be on the commission.
Seese welcomed Ward and said she was very excited about her passion for history. She was
happy with tonight's progress.
CITIZENS COMMENTS—None
COMMISSION AND ADMINISTRATION RESPONSE TO CITIZENS'
Kingsland welcomed Ward. She was proud of the commission's accomplishments tonight.
Flaherty said she looked forward to working with the commissioners and welcomed Ward.
