RESOLUTION NO. 71
A RESOLUTION DIRECTING TAX DEED TO BE ISSUED TO THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA, FOB. CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY IN THE CITY OF
SEWARD.
WHEREAS, at public auction held on the 12th day of November, 1931,
in pursuance of an nrder of sale made and entered in the District Court for l
the Territory of Alaska, Third Judicial Division on the 1st day of July, 1931,
the City of Seward became the purchaser of Lots Four (t), Five (5), and Six (6)
in Block Twenty-seven (27) in the Original Townsite of Seward, Alaska, accord
ing to the official Plat thereof, having bid therefor the amount due on said Lots,
including the tax, penalty, interest and costs due and delinquent thereon for
the year 1930, and
WHER EAS, a perio.i long in excess of two years has elapsed since the
date of said sale and no redemption has been made therefrom, and the City
of Seward has long been entitled to a tax Deed to said Lots, NOW, THERE-
FORE,
Bli: IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
SEWARD, ALASKA:
That RUSSELL PAINTER, as Mayor, and SIGRID STEARNS, as City
Clerk, execute a Tax Deed to said Lots hereinbefore, in this resolution,
described, to have and to hold the title to said Lots unto the City of Seward,
Alaska, and those holdinl! by, throup-h or under it, forever.
