The Commission introduced themselves to the new commissioner. Carpenter apologized for being late; he had been informed incorrectly that the meeting started at 7:00 pm. Public Hearing - None Unfinished Business - None New Business Approved Historic Preservation Commission Resolution 2004-03 list of priorities Kovac had moved the priorities to new business for discussion. She requested that staff give an overview on the Historic Preservation Website. Brown noted that the City Management of Informational Systems (MIS) department was responsible for managing and updating the website. He noted that any updates need to be submitted to staff. Kovac suggested that the Commission meet in a work session forum to discuss and update the priorities list. She noted that the Commission was also responsible for other duties as required by Code and requested the Commission set date and time for a work session. The Commission agreed to change the June 15, 2005 Historic Preservation meeting at 6:30 to a work session to update and discuss the priorities of the Commission. Discussion of Annual Historic Preservation Award Glenz reviewed the procedure for nomination ofthe award. She stated that the City Council had established the Seward Historic Preservation Award at the recommendation of the Commission. In the past Council had presented the award in March for Seward's Day or in May during Historic Preservation Week. However due to the lack of a Historic Preservation meeting the nominations for the 2005 award had not been received. Staff was recommending that the Commission nominate possible recipients for the award by filling out the application and turning it into staff. She noted that staff then placed the applications in the packet for review and selection at the next scheduled meeting. The Commission discussed the award and decided to turn in the award nominations at the June work session for placement on the agenda in July or the next scheduled meeting. Discussion ofthe Borough road name change ofthe historic road named for DJ Johnston in the Bear Lake area and a request for a geographic name nomination for the "Park Tract" of the subdivision Kovac suggested that the project be postponed until the Commission work session in June and the list of priorities had been reviewed. lffill P;lltnS 1;lS;l A .UO!ssIUJUIo::> ;llfllloddns Ol ;lnU!lUO:l Ol P;lS!WOld pUB UO!ssIUJUIo::> ;llfl P;l)[UUql ;llfS "l;lUO!SSIUJUIo::> U su uO!l!sod ;llflffiJ Ol ;llq!lln;ll;lllUoI ou SUM pUB l;lllUUUW Al!:J lUUlS!SSY JO uO!l!sod ;llfl U;l){Ul Pffil ;llfS P;llOU ;llfS .UO!SSIUJUIO::> ;llfl uo lU;lS l;llf llU!Ull!S;ll SUM ;llfS P;llUlS 'psa A "UO!SSIUJUI03 :llfl UO ;lUl!ll;llf P;lAOfu;l Pffil ;llfs p:nou pUB UO!ssIUJUIo::> ;llfl P;l)[UUql ;llfS "Alddu-;llOl UB{d lOU P!P :llfS pUB ~OOZJo AUW U! dn SUM l;lUO!SSIUJUIO:J U SU UU;lll;llf lffill P;llUlS '~U!I.l8a sluawwo:) UO!SS!WWO:) lI.18d aq8M8)1 ;)!.IOlS!H UMOlUMOP aql jO UOHaldWO;) PU811.10M aql .I0j p.l8M8 UOH8POSSY samunwwo:) .I0P!.l.lO:) W.IY U!8~8U.1n.L-SU!8lUnOW !8Ua)l aq.L .IanalSMaN: a~8l!.laH sobl 'l!.Idy (pa.llnba.l uO!l:m ON) - swan 18uOH8W.lOjUI snow!U8UIl p3SS8d uOHoW 'uan!.lM S8 salnU!w ~UH;}<lW tOOl '91 aunr aql aAo.lddy (psa A/UU8MS) nOHow SalnU!W ~uHaaw .I8ln~alI tOOl '91 aunr snow!U8UIl pass8d uOHoW .;lllUBlf:l ;lurmI :l!lfdU1llO;lll ;llfl10J S;lmp;l:lOld ;llfl wu;ll Ol U!llUW An;l)!
