WediscuussedthetemmplateforthheCableHouuseasbeinggourfirstchooice,anditaalsoprovidess consistenncywithasiggnalreadyinnplace.Weddiscussedthhecolorscheemewouldggowithourloogo whichiswwhatweareeusingonFaacebook. 5 Herearetthe5templattes 6 7 8 Peterwillbedoingthesigndesignsforourapproval.Hetoldustodevelophistoricalnarrativeslessthan 300words,preferably250andtocollectphotosatleast300dpi.Oncethenarrativesaredone,they shouldbesenttoonepersontoeditandputinoneconsistentvoice.Atthemeeting,MaryAnnwas designatedthefinaleditor.Thenarrativesandphotosforeachsignshouldbesentinbatches,sayof5at atimeafterthefirstsignisworkedout.Onepersonshouldbethecontacttocoordinateedits.MaryAnn wasdesignatedthatperson. LogosfortheSewardHPCCommission,theCityofSewardandpartnerssuchasResurrectionBay HistoricalSociety(andanyothersdeterminedlater)willbedesignedinagroupingandonallsigns.If individualsarecredited,thathasyettobedeterminedhowthosenameswillbeplaced. Thecommitteehashadsomediscussionaboutcreditingindividualsfortheircontributionsandthereare somedifferingopinions.Wediscussedtheimportanceofmakingsureindividualsthatdonatetheirtime, research,writing,photographsandotherknowledgeorworksshouldbecreditedeitherbylistingtheir nameswiththelogosorotherarea,orbycitingthemassourcesinthenarrative.Thereisalsoaconcern thatbycreditingindividuals,maybesomeonewouldbeleftoutcausinghardfeelings. Nowthatthepublicoutreachletterisout,thepublichasrespondedandworkhasstartedonsomeof thesigndesigns,weneedtodeterminewhetherindividualswillbecreditedbeforeaskingpeoplefor theirassistance.
