Commissioner Benoit spoke on the additions to the property list with owners that have responded since the last meeting. She stated that the owners that have more than one property would receive one sign at this time for one property, to allow other owners to be included. Seese joined the meeting at 10:52 a.m. Ward pointed out that Urbach's requested not to have a sign, but to be included in the walking tour. Their building unfortunately had no physical space on the storefront that could accommodate a sign. Woelkers stated that he did not see Fort Raymond or the DOT building at the end of Fifth Avenue on the list, even though the commission had worked on these locations in the past. Benoit stated that these properties would be scored with the criteria and can be reviewed. Seese did add that anyone that was unable to receive a sign in the first round could be on the walking tour and added for potential second round selection for signs. Benoit said that the Seward Library Association accepted their invitation as a partner in the project. She asked for commissioners to be sure to note the ID number from their photo database when researching properties. Benoit said this would make filing for the permissions on the photos more efficient. All photo submissions should be completed by March 5, 2021 to stay on task with their timeline. The commissioners agreed that Benoit could reorder the properties on the draft resolution with the updated scores and list spoke about. Woelkers took on researching additional properties of Tides Inn, 208 Brownell, the Quonsets on Sixth, and the Keating home. Libbrecht spoke about the timeline created for tasks that the commission needs to work on. He reminded commissioners to remember to report hours on the grant to Director Kingsland. Libbrecht stated that signs were planned to be produced and shipped to Seward by 5-21-2021 and should take about two weeks; leaving about 2 weeks for installs. Seese requested that a timeline task be added for sending letters to those that will not be able to have a sign placed, that they will still be on the walking tour and placed on a waiting list for a sign when more funding is available.
