SPECIALMEETING
Historic Preservation Commission will hold a Regular Meeting on Monday, May 3, 2021at 6:15 p.m.The
City of Seward has been experiencing a declared public health emergency due to Coronavirus Disease 2019
(COVID-19) since March 17, 2020. In order to protect public health and safety, public meetings have been
modified to a virtual format. Citizens can virtually attend all publicmeetings in the following ways, or attend
in person.

1.The meeting will be Live Streamed on the city’s YouTube page. Log onto YouTube and type “City of
SewardAlaska” into the search bar.

HowTo SubmitYourCITIZENCOMMENTS
1.Email your written Citizen Comments tojstallard@cityofseward.netno later than 3:00 p.m. on Monday, May 3,
2021. Identify whether you want your comments READ ALOUD at the meeting or EMAILED to Historic
Preservation Commission upon receipt. Comments requested to be read aloud will be delivered verbally to
HistoricPreservationCommissionbytheDeputyCityClerk attheappropriatetimeduringthemeeting.
2.If you wish to be called on the telephone during the meeting to provide your comments telephonically, send an
emailrequesttotheDeputyCityClerkalongwithyourcontactinformationtojstallard@cityofseward.net,
includingyourfullnameandthetelephonenumberyouwishtohavecalled.Theclerkmustreceiveyour
request no later than 3:00 p.m. on May 3, 2021. Identify whether you wish to be called during the FIRST or
SECOND citizen comment period. IfyouwishtobecontactedfortheCitizen Comment period, there isno
estimate of timetoexpectthe call.
AllCitizenCommentswillbetimedandlimitedtothreeminutes(firstperiod)orfiveminutes(secondperiod).The
telephonenumberwillbecalledONEtime;ifthereisnoanswer,theclerkwill moveonto thenextcitizen.

Pursuant to Seward City Code 2.10.030 (2), this is to serve as the written notice
calling a Special Meeting of the Historic Preservation Commission on Monday,
May 3, 2021 at 6:15 p.m.for the purpose of:
Voting on the nominations for the annual Historic Preservation
Award, and drafting the proclamation(s) to present the award(s)
at the May 10, 2021 City Council meeting.
The meeting will commence in the City Council Chambers, City Hall, 410 Adams
Street, Seward. All interested persons are invited to attend the meetings.

This special meeting was scheduled by the Historic Preservation Commission
at the April 8, 2021 regular meeting.
Upon this request the City Clerk will give due and proper notice as required by SCC
2.10.032
(No business shall be transacted other than stated above.)
