OPENING CEREMONY Chair Cheryl Seese led the Pledge of Allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL There were present: Cheryl Seese presiding, and Sue Ward Mary Ann Benoit(telephonically) Tanguy Libbrecht(telephonically) Jim Pemberton (telephonically) comprising a quorum of the Commission; and Jessica Stallard,Acting City Clerk Excused—None Absent—None Vacant—Two CITIZEN COMMENTS ON ANY SUBJECT EXCEPT THOSE ITEMS SCHEDULED FOR PUBLIC HEARING—None APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA Motion (Libbrecht/Ward) Approval of Agenda and Consent Agenda Motion Passed Unanimous There were no consent agenda items. NEW BUSINESS Discuss and vote on procedures for recognition and consistent stewardship of stakeholders and collaborators of the Certified Local Government (CLG) 20005 Walking tour project. Motion (Libbrecht/Ward) Accept an additional $6,125 from State Historic Preservation Office as City of Seward,Alaska Historic Preservation Commission Special Meeting Minutes April 19, 2021 Volume 3, Page 280 reimbursement, meaning total reimbursement to the City of Seward will be $24,000 vs. the original$17,825 to allow moo for completion of CLG grant#20005. Motion Passed Unanimous Motion (Benoit/Ward) Invite the Seward Rotary Club to be a partner on the Seward historic walking tour,CLG grant 20005, and add their logo to the sign for their contributions. Motion Passed Unanimous Motion (Benoit/Ward) Create an additional sign panel at the Seward Community Library and Museum to honor all of the contributors to the Seward historic walking tour, CLG grant 20005. Motion Passed Unanimous CITIZEN COMMENTS—None COMMISSION AND ADMINISTRATION COMMENTS & RESPONSE TO CITIZEN COMMENTS Seese thanked the commissioners and the clerk. She welcomed Deputy City Clerk Jessica Stallard back. Libbrecht welcomed back Stallard. Benoit welcomed back Stallard.
