Our CLG Signage Project has become super exciting as we A new Commissioner, Liberty Miller is coming on board-unless she has to move outside for work during the winter. Patrick Lewis ~ Jesse Lee Home ground. Mr. Lewis shared in an email, that he is quite concerned about the Jesse Lee land for its archeologic importance and value. He brought up the Native Home for children in Canada where they buried the children in unmarked graves; wanting to be certain that this did not occur on the Jesse Lee land. Along with this, he wants to make sure that more bits and pieces of this home that tell the story of the Jesse Lee Home are not lost to time. As far as I know, the only consideration of the land had this inquiry. Rolf Bardarson is granting us a reduced fee for the use of his equipment. In discussing this with him, he shared an enthusiastic love of historic pieces of equipment all around Seward. He also shared that he knows of historic information that he gleaned as a teenager from old timers! He is always busy but it would be wonderful to get him on our commission ~ he has incredible passion for our history. He believes that a museum where this equipment can be shared and appreciated by the public will be another jewel in
