RESOLUTION NO. 217
BE IT RESOLVED by The Common Council of the City of Seward, Alaska,
that the procedure for securing, opening, tabulating and/or evalua-
ting all bids for routine purchase. by The City of Seward, Seward
Electric System and S.ward Water System shall be as follows:
1. Sealed bids may be requested by the City Manager for any routine
purchas.s. Purchasing Agr....nts resu~ting therefrom shall not
exceed a period of one year. Large contracts shall be advertised
for bid upon authorisation of the City Council.
2. All requests for bid shall be in accordance with Section 12.3
of the Hom. Rule Charter.
3. The above describ.d s.alad bids shall be publicly opened at a
time and plac. to be specified in the request for bid.
4. All bids received prior to the published time and date of bid
closing shall be ~bulat8d and/or evaluated and presented to
the next regular or special m.eting of the City Council with
recommertdations for action.
Publication of this Resolution shall be by posting a copy hereof
eft the City Hall bulletin board for a period of ten days following
its ~assa~e and approval, and notice thereof published in a news-
paper of general local circulation.
This Reslut10n to be in full force and effect immediately upon its
passage and approval.
