CALL TO ORDER
The April 4 regular meeting of the Port and Commerce Advisory Board was called to order at
12:04 p.m. by Deborah Altermatt, Chair.
OPENING CEREMONY
Chair Long led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
ROLL CALL
There were present:

Dan Oliver

Steve Fink
Carl Hughes

Comprising a quorum; and
Were excused

SPECIAL ORDERS,PRESENTATIONS AND REPORTS
1. Rail Road report,Louis Bencardino-Gearing up for summer and prepping for busy season,
increased traffic.
2. Harbor Master Report—travel was upcoming,harbor was increasingly busy,tariff changes as
approved by the board were moving forward to council.
3. Chamber Report was looking forward to summer,planning training for local workers.Race
was full and being promoted.
CIMENS' COMMENTS ON ANY SUBJECT EXCEPT THOSE ITEMS SCHEDULED
FOR PUBLIC HEARING
There were none.
APPROVAL OF AGENDA AND CONSENT AGENDA
Motion (Oliver/Schaefermeyer) Approval of Agenda
Motion Passed Unanimously
The harbor dredging plan was discussed by the board,including funding possibilities and permitting
process.
The board discussed upcoming travel by lion and representatives from the Chamber.

Delegates would be traveling to Seattle and DC to support the CVRF SNHC development.
APPROVAL OF Minutes
Motion(Oliver/lLinville) Approval of minutes from the February 1,
2012 and March 7, 2012 meetings with
corrections.
Motion Passed Unanimously
The hoard discussed and decided to tentatively plan their work session for noon on
Wednesday May 2,2012 to ianmediately precede the regular meeting to take place at 12:30
