Chamber of Commerce — City Council Report
October 22th, 2021
Note:
This will be my last report as Chamber Director. My last day at the Chamber is today.
My first day at the City is November 8.
The Chamber Board of Directors in the process of hiring for my replacement. The job is
currently posted on multiple different sites throughout the state. If you of anyone who

Thank you for your support and partnership with the Chamber over the last two years as
I've been in this role. I'm so thankful for the strong partnership with the city as we
navigated the Pandemic and related challenges. I'm looking forward to working for the
City and continuing to promote economic development within our community.
Chamber Updates:
SBDC Position: The SBDC Position is posted. One of our Board of Directors will be
sitting in on the interviews along with City Administration and SBDC staff.
Marketing Contract Work:
Marine Marketina
The new Marine Guide is mocked up and will be finalized soon. It will go to print at the
beginning of November and shipped directly to Seattle for the PME
We are also starting work on the redesign and production of the PME booth display. The
Pacific Marine Expo is November 18-20t" this year. Kat Sorensen, the Marketing
Director, will be going to represent the Chamber.
Visitor Guide
2022 Seward Visitor Guide is on schedule. Ad sales are almost closed. New
photographs have been acquired and it will starting being mapped out when the Marine
guide is completed in the coming weeks.
