HomeMy WebLinkAboutRes1963-301 r RESOLUTION NO. 301 WHEP..EAS, the Seward Gity Council, on the 4th day of February, 1963, sitting as a Board of Adjustment as provided by Sections 2.100 and 2.102 of the Seward Code of Ordinances, conducted a public hearing in the matter of Notice to Abate or Correct Nuisance and Notice to Abate or Correct Fire and Health Hazard regarding buildings located on two hundred twenty square feet of the Northeast Corner of Lot 32, Block 2 of the Origi- nal Townsite of Seward, Alaska, owned by E. S. Choulton; and ~WHEREAS, all of the requirements of sections 2.100 of said Code have been carried out; and WHEREAS, no written objections to the findings of the City Manager in this matter, as posted on the properties and as served upon E. S. Choulton a/k/a Edith Randall, were filed with the City Manager or otherwise made; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the findings and orders of the Board of Adjustment are that (1) the above described properties are found to be nuisances and fire and health hazards; (2) that E. S. Choulton be and is hereby ordered to abate said nuisances and hazards by removal or demolition within thirty (30) days from the date hereof; (3) that E. S. Ghoulton be notified of these findings, orders and time limits by service of a copy of this Resolution upon her; and (4) that in the event E. S. Choulton does not comply fully with the orders of the Board of Adjustment as set forth herein, that the City Manager is hereby instructed and ordered to take proper steps, under Section 2.105 of the Seward Code of Ordi- nances, to carry out the requirements of this Resolution and the Code of Ordinances, which also provides that the cost of said abatement will be chargeable against the property, RESOLUTION NO. 301 (GONT.t first against the salvaged material, which may be sold at public auction, and the balance of cost, if any, against the land, to become a lien thereon, the same as real property taxes levied by the City of Seward. This Resolution to be in full force and effect immedi- ately upon passage and approval.
